Basecamp Bungalows
If you are looking for a place to sleep close to Basecamp, you can make an online reservation for the bungalows described below. Reservation is recommended only during peak season (December to February).
Outside of peak season (X-mas/New Year) making a bungalow reservation is really not necessary. Even during high season, there is a lot of turn-over and if you just show up, we most likely can accomodate you. Should we have no vacancies, we can check at other resorts for you. You are welcome to park your luggage at our shop and check out our or other bungalows anytime.
The bungalows are loacted along the walkway leading to Railay East in a beautiful garden setting and are very quiet. The beach and major climbing crags are only 5 to 15 min walk away. A coffee bar is waiting for you with fresh brewed java and breakfast.
STYLE 1: "THE KASBAH"
These traditional-style bungalows all have extended balconies, new en-suite bathrooms with pebble floors and are furnished with good quality matresses (for a good nights sleep!!). High-quality bed linen and mosquito nets, as well as mirrors, hanging and shelf space and hammocks. The Kasbah is a place for relaxing and chilling out, furnished with plenty of hammocks and cushions. This bungalow can sleep up to 2 persons.
STYLE 2: "FOREST COTTAGE"
The bungalows are build with part cement and part wood, a tiled bathroom with western toilet and shower, one single bed plus one double bed, both with fitted mosquito nets in a large tiled sleeping room with plenty of storage space. Large balcony in the front with table and chairs for sitting. This bungalow can sleep up to 3 persons. Great also for families.

If you do want to make a reservation, please note:
- Reservations require a minimum stay of 10 days.
- Reservations require a non-refundable deposit of 2.000 THB (about €40,- / U$ 60,-).
- The deposit will be deducted from your total room bill but will not be returned in case of cancellation or "no show" (guest fails to check-in by 8pm on the date of booking). Sorry, we cannot be responsible for illness or injury. Guests should make sure they have adequate travel insurance to protect themselves from unforeseen circumstances.
- Reservation dates can be changed until 14 days prior to arrival date at no additional cost.
- The easiest way to make a deposit is with payal to elke@BasecampTonsai.com or mail me for info on a direct transfer to my bank account.
- Please print out and bring the confirmation e-mail you will receive after making the deposit. Thank you.
